The study has the aim to show that using no tamponade dressing after haemorrhoidectomy ist not inferior to the use of a tamponade regarding postoperative bleeding.

Many approaches to the surgical treatment of OF-P have been tried, but no one method has stood out as particularly successful. The placement of three implants, including implants that could minimise motion in the sacroiliac joint through early fixation and long-term fusion of the sacroiliac joint, can prevent micromotion in the fracture and thereby improve the clinical outcome of OF-Ps.

The iFuse-3D implant was shown to be safe and effective for chronic sacroiliac pain in non-osteoporotic patients. ...

With over 15,000 implantations worldwide to date, the MitraClip procedure has established itself as a treatment for patients with mitral valve insufficiency. It is the only minimally invasive, transcatheter mitral valve therapy available. A standardised, multimodal approach ("MitraScore") has been developed for the assessment of residual mitral valve regurgitation after MitraClip implantation. It has been shown that a low MitraScore is associated with a better long-term outcome after MitraClip ...

The emotion Egg, or "eEgg" for short, is a sample series of a device for testing a new pain measurement method that is not yet on the market. The aim is to investigate whether the trial device and the eEgg method (eEgg plus software) are suitable for supporting, improving or even replacing the communication between doctor and patient, which still takes place via the numerical rating scale (NRS) and the pain diary. Issues of acceptability in comparison to the pain diary and the NRS are to be ...
